Drama Turned Comedy

What if Romeo and Juliet turned out being a comedy, will it still be appreciated? And another what if; will it make sense if this comedy act isn't written by William Shakespeare. Judge it yourself.

Romeo knew about Juliet's death, so, he went straight to Verona, but he forgot that he had planned on ending his life through taking poison. With this, he went back to Mantua and talked to a poor apothecary who gave him the vial of poison for 30,000Php causing no money left for him. He even thought of not continuing his plan because of the vial's price but he is already decided. As soon as he got to Juliet's tomb, he felt too much pain to the point that he had cried like a baby, he cried so much that there is no water left in his body. He opened Juliet's tomb and saw how beautiful she is. He hugged her tightly.
Friar Lawrence entered and spoke to Romeo, "She'll be waking up in 10 seconds.", they countdown together until, "...3, 2, 1".
"Paris! Where art thou?", Juliet said right after she opened her eyes.
"Oh! She's awake.", Paris speaking to himself. "I'm here, oh Juliet!", he said as he showed up.
"What is the meaning of this?", Romeo asked them both. But instead of answering, Juliet walked out and Paris followed her, but before that, "You can have me Romeo.", Paris whispered to Romeo.
There, Romeo and Friar Lawrence were left staring to nowhere.
